Matthew Murata

AMFT #151086
Supervised by Christy Hyun, LMFT 46787

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). I earned my B.A. in Sociology from Willamette University and my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Seminary, where I trained in counseling and theology.

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship/communication challenges, including ASD, ADHD, and learning differences. I’m trained in Brainspotting (Phase 1 & 2) and take a practical, trauma-informed, and empathetic approach, integrating clients’ faith and values when desired. We’ll work collaboratively to identify your goals and take meaningful steps toward healing, growth, and stronger connections.
